As we know that the Chinese government made a unfortunate decision to kill protesting students in 1989 which ended in death, here you can discuss your views on the events that happened on that horrible day.

Government killing is never right. (cue "OMFG DAETH PENALTAE", same difference.) They were protesters, and since the Chinese government would've never allowed them to protest in peace they reacted. The most understandable (still condemnable, but understandable) reaction would be to send in the police or maybe even the PAP, disperse the protest and arrest some members. Some people might've gotten killed, yes, and it'd still have been a bad response, but what they did basically defies all logic. Sending in tanks against unarmed student protesters? Yeah..... You ask me, whoever ordered that should be dragged to The Hague in chains and tried for crimes against humanity and mass murder.

Hmm totally forgot about this topic, Anyway the 'Tankman' identity is unknown but some say he either was killed, or under house arrest.

On a side note, a chinese communist party person was recently fired. (Dunno why)
