"Are you ready?" comrades, "It is time" once again for another GenX update. We have an "extra large" update lined up for you this month and there will be "nothing in our way" of showing it to you.
So greetings and bad puns aside, on with the renders starting with the updated VChina Overlord:
The Overlord Super Heavy Tank remains one of the largest and most powerful tanks produced in the 21st century. The standard model Overlord has undergone a number of upgrades and improvements since it was first deployed during the GLA conflict. In addition many of these upgrades have been implemented by the specialized divisions of the Red Army. Universal improvements include reinforced battle cannon mounts, improved anti-jamming loading systems, rebalanced rear turrets, and greater armour protection for the tread and chassis.
Next up we have Tao's variant, the Nuclear Overlord
Following the Second GLA conflict, General Tao continued to improve on the design of his Nuclear Overlord variant. It is rumored that he was pressured by the Chinese High Command to improve upon the safety for his Nuclear Engines after an unacceptable cases of collateral damage. To this end the Nuclear Variant Overlord now features reinforced Uranium containment systems, which can be replaced in field with higher grade fusion systems. In addition the Nuclear Overlords battle cannons are designed to automatically purge after each shot in order to reduce risk of radioactive material entering the crew compartment during reloading. The Nuclear Overlord comes standard with Depleted Uranium shells, the result of Tao’s insistence that Nuclear weapons would be devastating to the poorly protected forces of the GLA; should it be deemed necessary these shells can be upgraded to use Weapons Grade Uranium, leaving a short lived radioactive contamination zone, and greatly increasing the kinetic damage dealt by the shells. Like all Overlord variants the Nuclear Overlord retains the standard Turret Upgrade System, and may be retrofitted with the standard Gatling Cannon System; Bunker System and Propaganda Broadcast Speaker System.
Next up is everyone's favorite, The Emperor
While the Overlord Tank was always considered the ultimate example of Chinese military might, General Kwai managed to outdo anyone’s expectations with the Emperor Overlord. More heavily armed, and better armoured than even the Overlord the Emperor is able to withstand and return a devastating high level of damage. While Overlord commanders tend to shy away from crushing other vehicles, the men under General Kwai take a perverse please in simply riding down GLA armour columns, a fact that the Chinese High Command appear to ignore, with commendations for Kill to Shot ratios being more than common amongst Emperor crews. General Kwai was not content to simply leave his beloved Emperor as is and has embraced the upgrades suggested by Chinese designers and in fact improved upon them. The already reinforced armour can be upgraded with reactive plating, reducing the risk from the GLA common rocket attacks. The intimidating turret of the Emperor is highly modified from the standard Overlord, and comes standard with a Propaganda Broadcast Speaker System; however Kwai’s lack of experienced infantry means he shuns the use of Bunker Systems and prefers that he can simply allow his commanders to request a Gatling Cannon System be added to the Emperor in order to deal with air craft and infantry.
Finally "I will finish this" update with the newest member to the overlord family, the God Emperor
Tasked with field testing and designing new weapons for the glory of the Red Army General Leang has pushed the Overlord to the next level, surpassing even General Kwai. The God Emperor is armed with 4 High Calibre Gauss Cannons; trading raw power for a greater rate of fire the Gauss cannons deal greater damage over a prolonged period. Featuring a totally new design the God Emperor is designed to take advantage of the lessons of previous conflicts against the GLA; and other threats; the sloped armour reduce the tanks radar signature as well as offering greater protection from conventional arms. It is said that the God Emperor contains a number of Z-Tech Industries subsystems; something that the Chinese High Command downplay whenever they are given the chance. However it can’t be denied that the God Emperor is unable to employ the standard Turret Upgrade Systems; in fact the only common system used by the God Emperor is the Propaganda Broadcast Speaker System and even this must be modified slightly in order to be fitted. General Leang seems quite happy to make use of foreign systems however; and encourages her commanders to make use of the powerful Lightning Spike System, this remote subsystem sacrifices the bunker found in the standard defense structure, but the mobility of such a powerful weapon more than compensates for this loss. In order to deal with the increased aerial threat from the GLA General Deathstrike the God Emperor is able to retrofit a remote Gauss Gun System, which can deal with combat air craft as well as light vehicles.
